Beulah is located between the towns of Honor and Benzonia on US 31. Beulah is home to a variety of shops and gorgeous beaches on Crystal Lake. Crystal Lake if a popular destination for boaters and fishermen. Population: 421. Founded about 1880 by Reverend Charles E. Bailey and named by him from Isaiah 62:4 "You shall no more be termed Forsaken and your land shall no more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called My Delight is in Her, and your land Beulah, that is Married". Detached from Benzonia and given a post office on February 8, 1892, with Charles S. Merritt as its first postmaster. Incorporated as a village in 1932.
